Work With Us!

WE HIRE QUALIFIED THERAPISTS IN PHILADELPHIA, PA!

Looking for something new with your career?

If you want to start fresh with a new, growing team of therapists, we might be the place for you! We are a supportive, relaxed group that recognizes the rewarding, albeit challenging, work we do in this field. As a growing team, new positions are being created. Therefore, you have the power to choose what your role will be here at The Better You Institute.

Just starting your career in psychology?

We are a teaching agency that has a passion for growing new, up-and-coming psychotherapists. Whether you are just exploring if this is the right field for you as an undergraduate student, or you’ve made the decision to get specialized training as a master’s or doctorate-level therapist, we are excited at the opportunity to welcome you into the field. You will learn the administrative basics, such as writing progress notes and organizing your schedule in a way that helps you be the best therapist you can be, too high-level clinical skills to use in your therapeutic practices. By joining a privately owned group practice for your training, you will have the guidance of multiple therapists, all with their unique approaches to therapy. You will also have a stable schedule with structured activities, all personally guided by the owner, Nitasha Strait.

Want to make your own work schedule?

Our motto is to work to live, not live to work. Therefore, you have the opportunity to handcraft your schedule so that you feel like you have the best work/life balance. We require at least two evenings or one evening and one weekend day a week. However, we offer the flexibility to choose which days of the week these requirements fall on. Furthermore, we start employees part-time and build their schedule to full-time in a way that feels manageable. You will have the power to say when you are full or that you need more clients on your schedule. Through supervision and ongoing conversations, we encourage you to find your niche client if you haven’t already. You can then tailor your schedule to the needs of those specific clients.

Who we are looking for:

If you are an empathic, warm, driven, organized, and autonomous individual that still wants the support of a psychotherapy team, you may be a good fit at The Better You Institute. You should be a team player who supports others while accepting help and asking for it when necessary. You should be someone who creates safe spaces for clients, especially for those in marginalized populations. You should be passionate about learning and expanding your knowledge on topics you are less familiar with. Lastly, we are looking for someone who is continuously working on themselves both as a person and as a therapist.

What is expected of you?

Provide top-quality therapeutic services to clients informed by evidence-based research. Keep up-to-date client files (progress notes, treatment plans, mental status exams, etc.). Provide interdisciplinary care when necessary. Provide effective and timely communication with both clients and co-workers. Create original website content through blog posts about client topics of interest. Attend practice meetings and supervision. Maintain a supportive team environment focused on learning and growth.
