Isabel Cook

Isabel Cook is a pre-licensed clinician working towards hours for professional counseling licensure. Caleb Dunn, LPC, NCC supervises her.

I have always been passionate about helping people with difficulties or facing challenging situations. In my career, I am committed to assisting individuals in overcoming violence and trauma. I feel fortunate that I can be witness to people going through their own healing processes. Physical, emotional, and mental safety is my priority with the clients I work with. I firmly believe that everyone deserves a safe space to grow and heal, regardless of what has brought them into therapy.

I specialize in working with adults coping with trauma, domestic or sexual violence, mood disorders, and substance use disorders. I have also worked with individuals on issues related to self-esteem and grief. I believe in tailoring the therapeutic process to everyone I work with’s unique needs and goals. The therapeutic relationship is a collaborative experience that will help you grow and thrive in your healing journey.

I have a master’s degree in Social Work from Widener University with a specific focus on trauma and trauma-informed care. I use techniques and tools from various modalities, including dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT).

I believe that anyone can achieve the happiness, growth, and safety they deserve through therapy regardless of their circumstances. I feel honored to be able to help people in their healing journeys, and I am excited to bring my skills and passion to you! Outside my clinical practice, I enjoy hiking, camping, live music, spending time with my partner and dog, cooking, reading, and journaling.
