Hannah Bushner, C/MFT

Hannah is a Philadelphia-based individual and couples and relationship therapist supporting young adults and couples seeking greater clarity, emotional connection, and stability in their relationships and inner lives.

Many of Hannah’s clients find themselves caught in patterns that feel hard to shift on their own, such as over-functioning in relationships, people-pleasing, shutting down during conflict, struggling to name or express needs, or cycling through the same arguments without resolution. Even when they understand what’s happening, they often feel stuck in the moment it matters most, unsure how to respond differently, connect more fully, or stay emotionally present.

In therapy, Hannah offers a space that is both grounding and direct. Clients experience her as warm and attuned, while also gently challenging what’s happening beneath the surface in real time. She works collaboratively to slow things down and make sense of emotional reactions, relational dynamics, and protective patterns that were learned over time but may no longer be serving them.

Her work focuses on helping clients understand not just what they do in relationships, but what drives those patterns, what gets protected, what gets avoided, and what becomes harder to access when stress or conflict arises. Over time, clients tend to feel more emotionally fluent, better able to stay connected during difficult times, and more confident in expressing their needs without shutting down or overextending themselves.

About Hannah

My academic training, combined with years of clinical experience, has shaped the steady, grounded presence I bring to each session. Clients often describe me as compassionate yet direct, someone who can both validate their struggles and gently challenge them toward growth.

It is a privilege to witness clients in their most vulnerable and courageous moments, and I am grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside you. Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy walking my goldendoodle, taking yoga sculpt classes, savoring Mediterranean food, and spending time with family and friends.
