Continuing Education Workshops

Knowledge is power, and we know how important it is to keep up with changes in any industry. Our continuing education workshops are perfect for therapists seeking deeper clinical insight and practical tools. With trainings designed to expand your skills, challenge your thinking, and support ethical, evidence-based care, you’ll learn from experienced professionals and leave with strategies you can implement immediately in your therapeutic work.

If you’re a group practice owner looking to help your clinicians go deeper with clients, know when to refer for specific diagnoses (e.g., sexual functioning issues, PTSD where EMDR would be helpful, etc.), or manage their caseloads better, we can teach you the knowledge you seek.

Employment

Licensed Psychotherapist/Psychologist

Autonomy + depth + community.

We are a boutique, high-end, and relational practice seeking licensed therapists (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, PsyD, PhD) who thrive when given autonomy but love knowing they have a team of colleagues in their corner. You’ve put in the hours, you know how to track process, and you’re ready to do transformative, second-order change work with clients who want to go deep.

At The Better You Institute, we do therapy that lasts. We value behavioral strategies as stepping stones, but we don’t stop there; we dig into attachment, identity, and the narratives that shape people’s lives. Our clients are often high achievers who need a space to set aside their armor, be vulnerable, and explore who they are beyond their performance.

We’re also looking for clinicians who want to be engaged in the whole practice, not just the therapy room. That means being involved in outreach, contributing to social media ideas, and occasionally representing our work in the community. We believe the best clinicians aren’t just great therapists, they’re invested in the ecosystem that makes deep, sustainable therapy possible.

If you’re someone who takes your clinical work seriously but also appreciates team memes, team hangouts, and a culture where we all walk the talk of growth, you’ll feel right at home.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide high-quality individual, couple, and/or family therapy.
  • Manage your caseload with independence, initiative, and strong clinical judgment.
  • Contribute to practice-building through networking, social media, and community outreach.
  • Integrate our Signature Framework into your clinical work by utilizing behavioral interventions while maintaining a focus on attachment and long-term transformation.
  • Maintain timely documentation (because even brilliant clinicians need good notes).
  • Participate in team meetings, collaboration, and occasionally share a celebratory toast.

What you bring:

  • Active independent license in counseling, social work, MFT, or psychology.
  • A strong orientation toward attachment, trauma, and process-based work.
  • Interest in contributing to the growth of a thriving practice beyond direct client hours.
  • Comfort working independently while enjoying team collaboration.
  • A willingness to grow alongside your clients (we practice what we preach).
  • A mix of seriousness (in the room) and lightheartedness (with your team).
  • Comfortable working with clients of all backgrounds and identities, providing affirming care without discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, religion, ability, age, or other “isms.

Equal Opportunity Employer Statement:

The Better You Institute is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. We do not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, religion, age, disability, or any other status protected by law.

Compensation Statement:

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Benefits Statement (for full-time clinicians):

Full-time clinicians receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off (PTO), training stipends for ongoing professional development, and more.

Training wheels off, supervision still in place.

We’re seeking pre-licensed therapists (LPC-A, LCSW-A, MFT-A, or equivalent) who are eager to refine their skills and take a more active role as clinicians in a boutique, high-end, and relational practice. You’ll have the support of a supervisor (and a community of colleagues who have your back), but this role requires initiative, agency, and the drive to build your caseload while refining your therapeutic voice.

We’re not the kind of practice that does surface-level, symptom-only work. Our clients are high-achieving, deeply feeling individuals who crave something more than a quick fix. We value attachment-based therapy that facilitates second-order change—the kind that sticks. Sure, we love a good CBT worksheet or mindfulness skill, but we’re here for the messy, process-oriented transformation. We expect this type of work from our clinicians and our clients. Self-reflection of you as a therapist is crucial to this work.

And because we believe clinicians are most successful when they understand the business of therapy, you’ll also join in community outreach, social media contributions, and networking opportunities. Think of it as growing your clinical skills and your entrepreneurial muscles, you’ll be supported, but you’ll also be asked to step into the bigger picture of how therapy lives in the world.

If you’re someone who takes your work seriously and goes deep with clients but who also likes to laugh at yourself, join in team banter, and maybe bring snacks to supervision, you’ll feel right at home here.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide therapy to individuals, couples, and families, and have an open-door policy when you’re not seeing clients.
  • Build and maintain a caseload with support from referrals and marketing while showing initiative and autonomy in your clinical work.
  • Receive weekly supervision.
  • Contribute to the practice’s growth through social media, networking, and outreach.
  • Maintain timely, HIPAA-compliant documentation.
  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, and the occasional office shenanigans.

What you bring:

  • At least a clinical master’s degree and an active associate-level license.
  • Strong interest in attachment, trauma, and process-oriented therapy.
    • Use behavioral interventions and dig into the deeper attachment dynamics driving your clients’ patterns.
  • Comfort with taking initiative while also receiving structured supervision.
  • Desire to contribute to the business side of private practice.
  • The ability to hold depth with clients and lightness with colleagues.
  • Comfortable working with clients of all backgrounds and identities, providing affirming care without discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, religion, ability, age, or other “isms.

Equal Opportunity Employer Statement:

Training wheels welcome. Growth mindset required.

We’re looking for practicum students and interns who are ready to roll up their sleeves, lean into process-oriented therapy, and dive deep into the human experience. This is not a “sit back and take notes” kind of placement—we want folks who are curious, open, and ready to develop their clinical chops under close and intentional supervision. We are a boutique, high-end, and relational practice that holds high expectations for our students.

At The Better You Institute, we work attachment-first, trauma-informed, and with an eye toward second-order change. Yes, we value behavioral work (because sometimes a deep breath or a new boundary really is the game-changer), but we know true transformation means going beneath the surface.

And because therapy doesn’t live in a vacuum, you’ll also get exposure to the business side of the field, things like how private practices grow, how clinicians reach the right clients through networking, and how social media shapes community engagement. This is a chance to learn not just how to be a great therapist, but how to thrive in the real-world ecosystem of our profession.

If you’re the kind of person who takes your clients’ healing seriously but also likes to let loose with your colleagues at the end of the week, you’ll fit right in.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide individual, couple, and/or family therapy (within your scope and under supervision).
  • Learn how to integrate behavioral interventions with deeper attachment-based, process-oriented work.
  • Participate in weekly supervision and team meetings (translation: you’ll get a lot of guidance and support).
  • Engage in practice-building activities, such as outreach efforts (networking), intake (sales), and developing a social media strategy (marketing).
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation (yes, notes matter).

What you bring:

  • Enrollment in a graduate counseling, MFT, social work, or psych program.
  • Eagerness to learn both clinically and professionally.
  • Curiosity about attachment, trauma, and transformative work.
  • Initiative, you’ll be supported closely, but you’ll also be expected to stretch yourself.

The glue that keeps the practice (and our sanity) together.

We’re looking for an Administrative Coordinator who’s equal parts organized wizard, people-person, and behind-the-scenes hero. At The Better You Institute, our therapists go deep with clients (like, second-order change deep), but we can’t do that without someone running point on the details that make a practice thrive. That’s where you come in.

This role isn’t just about answering phones or scheduling; it’s about helping shape the experience of clients and clinicians. From the first call a client makes to the systems that keep our practice humming, you’ll play a critical role in supporting not just the clinical side, but also the business growth. That means you’ll also get your hands into things like social media, community outreach support, and team projects.

If you’re someone who takes your work seriously but also loves to laugh, swap memes, and occasionally rescue us from printer jams—you’ll fit right in.

What you’ll do:

  • Be the first warm, professional point of contact for clients (phone, email, portal).
  • Manage client communication (scheduling, billing, file upkeep) with care and efficiency.
  • Support revenue processes (don’t worry, we’ll train you on the systems).
  • Keep our digital house in order: forms, records, portals, HIPAA-compliant systems.
  • Lead marketing efforts through the use of social media, newsletters, or community outreach support (yes, Canva will be your right-hand tool).
  • Coordinate internal projects and keep us on track when clinicians get offtrack.

What you bring:

  • Familiarity with HIPAA compliance: Comfort holding confidentiality and professionalism in a mental health setting.
  • Excellent communication skills: warm, clear, direct, and professional.
  • Strong organizational skills and comfort with technology (G-Suite, GoHighLevel, WordPress)
  • Initiative and follow-through (you’re the kind of person who notices the detail before it becomes a problem and speaks up about it).
  • A spirit of collaboration—you enjoy autonomy but also love being part of a team.
  • Thrive in an ever-growing and changing company.
  • Plus if you have a background in sales/marketing.
  • Comfort with working side-by-side with the company owner and pushing back on ideas/policies/procedures.
  • Comfortable working with clients of all backgrounds and identities, providing affirming care without discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, religion, ability, age, or other “isms.

Why you’ll love it here:
We’re a group of humans who take our work with clients very seriously, but we also believe in keeping it real with each other. You’ll join a team that values growth, authenticity, and the occasional office laugh-fest. We do depth, but we don’t do stuffy.

Supervision

Group Supervision & 1:1 Supervision

Our internship program offers Psy.D., LPC, and LMFT supervision, collaborative peer learning, and hands-on experience in therapy, documentation, and psychoeducation. Interns receive individual and group supervision, write client-facing blog posts, and gain support from our Quality Assurance Coordinator. You do not need to be affiliated with The Better You Institute to receive supervision.

We welcome external supervisees (pre-licensed and post-graduate). We can tailor a plan that aligns with your state’s licensure requirements, providing supervision agreements, hour logs, and board-ready documentation as needed.
