Sex and Sexuality

Sex – An integral part of who we are.

Our society often treats sex as a taboo and stigmatized topic despite sex and sexuality being at the forefront of our lives and at the crux of human development. In theory, sex seems like it should be easy. But often times, there are challenges to the actual act, to how we view ourselves sexually, or what value sex holds for us.

Sex assimilates the physical, somatic, emotional, intellectual, social, spiritual Self.

Having sex can be rewarding in so many different ways. You can gain a connection with your partner, you can gain a connection with yourself, and you can reap the health benefits of sexual intercourse. You are here today seeking good sex however you define that for yourself.

Sex beyond the physical act.

Maintaining safety and consent is our main goal in trying to help you explore your own sexuality and what that could, or does mean for your relationship(s). We encourage you to find what pleasures you through exploration, gain insight into your Self, and feel confident in your own skin.

Sex touches you in your core.

You may have a good base for what you’d like your sexuality to look like, with whom you’d like to share your sexuality with, how you’d like to portray your sexuality, your overall thoughts and emotions about your sexuality, the behaviors you’d like to partake in within the world of sexuality – but you don’t have to have all of that figured out. Or, all of these inner Self-insights may change over time or within different contexts. Whether you know it or not, your sexuality deeply affects your inner psyche, leading you to feel either free or bogged down in some way. Sex and sexuality are part of human nature, and we’re all humans at the end of the day.

Safety to explore is key.

The Better You Institute believes in a sex-positive environment where you are free to delve into your sexual prowess. We offer a judge- free zone and promote health, safety, pleasure, and self-acceptance.
